Q: What documents do I need to rent a car from Strong Rent A Car?
A: You need to provide a Qatari ID/Passport copy, a valid driving license copy, and a refundable security deposit (cash or card).


Q: Can I drive in Qatar with my GCC driving license?
A: Yes, GCC nationals can drive in Qatar with their GCC driving license until its expiration date. Non-GCC nationals can drive for 14 days from their entry to Qatar with a GCC driving license.


Q: Can I drive in Qatar with my International Driving License?
A: Yes, you can drive in Qatar with your International Driving License for up to 3 months from your entry to Qatar.


Q: What are the working hours for vehicle delivery and collection?
A: Depends with the Branch as we have Pearl, Lusail, Barwa Radisson, Abu hamor and HIA. Office timing as below link https://www.strongrentacar.com/en/contact-us.


Q: How do rental charges work?
A: Rental charges must be paid in advance. Extra kilometers, days, or hours will be calculated according to the rental rate mentioned in the lease.


Q: How much is the security deposit?
A: The deposit amount depends on the rented vehicle and the length of the rental.


Q: What is the penalty for payment delay?
A: In case of payment delay for more than 2 days, a 10% penalty will apply on a daily basis.


Q: What are some of the benefits of renting with SRC?
A: As some customers might misunderstand the below point and not bring the vehicle to our service center. E.G 24 HOURS ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE, FREE REPLACEMENT, FREE ADDITTIONAL 2ND DRIVER, FREE MAINTENANCE ETC. 


Q: What happens if I fail to provide the odometer reading every 15 days?
A: Failure to comply will result in a fine of QAR 1,500.


Q: What should I do in case of an accident?
A: You must obtain and submit a police report to the lessor stating the damages and explanation of the accident. If the accident was your fault or caused by an unknown third party, you are required to pay the insurance excess.


Q: Can I get a replacement vehicle if my rented car is involved in an accident?
A: Yes, however must police report stating the damaged parts as per the law of Qatar.


Q: Can I drive the rented vehicle outside Qatar?
A: No, you are not allowed to use the rented vehicle outside the borders of the State of Qatar.


Q: Can I smoke inside the rented vehicle?
A: Smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited, and you will be fined QAR 500 if any sign of smoking is detected by the lessor upon receiving the vehicle.


Q: What is the minimum age requirement to rent a car from Strong Rent A Car?
A: The minimum age requirement is 23 years, and you must hold a valid driving license issued within the past one year.


Q: Can I let someone else drive the rented vehicle?
A: The vehicle should only be driven by the person(s) stated in the lease. Unauthorized drivers may void the insurance.


Q: When is the insurance considered void?
A: The insurance is considered void if the accident occurred on unpaved roads, the vehicle's wheels or tires are damaged by bad roads, the lessee is found to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, or if the vehicle is found driven by someone not stated in the lease.


Q: How long do I have to settle traffic violations that occur during the lease period?
A: You must settle the traffic violations within seven days from the date of the violation.


Q: What happens if I fail to return the replacement vehicle within 24 hours after being informed of the availability of the original vehicle?
A: Failure to comply will result in a delay fine based on the daily rate of the lease.


Q: What is the insurance coverage for the rented vehicle?
A: The insurance provided by the lessor includes comprehensive coverage with passenger accident cover, in compliance with the terms and conditions of the insurance company. However, the lessee is obliged to pay insurance excess in the event of an accident caused by the lessee, a missing third party, or if the hired vehicle is totally lost.
